Basting the Butterball

We spent the Thanksgiving holiday with the Wells family in Sunnyvale. Lots of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We ate a lot and put our weight loss plans on hold. We enjoyed a precooked feast from Whole Foods, which I can now recommend. It was delicious and I ate turkey sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the remainder of the trip. Phoenix was entertaining now that he smiles and makes nonsensical phrases. We also celebrated a belated birthday for Marion. Annemarie & Greg came up with the swell gift idea of a new dishwasher which Greg, John and Jacob installed. The men all worked on the carport roof, too. They covered the thing in a water diversion device ("a giant plastic bag") and it seemed to work well. Anyway, the whole trip was a warm and laid back affair. We plan to hit the road again for Christmas, stopping in Phoenix ;) & arriving in Albuquerque. Phoenix is an excellent car baby, luckily. Can't wait!
